University Career Services (UCS) is a full-service career center offering students and alumni resources and assistance in the formulation and implementation of their career plans. UCS supports all 45,000+ students on the UH-Main campus as well as UH-Sugar Land campus. Students and alumni are able to meet one-on-one with a career counselor or attend workshops to discuss the following topics:
UCS also coordinates many events, including employer info sessions, programming weeks and career fairs. These are excellent opportunities for students to network, find potential opportunities and develop strong communication skills. All students are encouraged to RSVP for these events through Cougar Pathway.
Cougar Pathway is the UCS online portal where students and alumni can access job postings, RSVP for events and schedule career counseling appointments. Cougar Pathway is an icon in all the AccessUH accounts of currently enrolled students. Alumni subscribers log in through their own subscription link.
Recent UH graduates have access to UCS services and resources for free for up to 6 months after graduation (for specific dates, click here). After the 6 month period, alumni can subscribe to UCS Alumni Career Services for $50 for 6 months of additional access and support.
