Student Activities & Leadership Development (SALD) provides a vibrant Bearcat community through advocacy, engagement, education, and inclusion. SALD fosters a fun, open, and culturally enriching environment for the Bearcat Community and creates a welcoming environment by:

• Operating as a student-centered department that engages in shared decision making and holistic development through engagement.
• Advocating for inclusivity and equity, fostering respect, and affirming the identities of all individuals.
• Educating students in leadership and social responsibility and offering firsthand experiences in global citizenship.
• Cultivating intentional experiences through advising, training, programming, and partnerships to inspire self- discovery and support healthy leadership development.
• Providing student organization support and training to create community connections that build meaningful relationships.
