University of Oklahoma Move-In 2019 — All you need to know!Sooner Parents
Through the generosity of trustees, alumni, parents, and friends of the University, a number of endowed scholarships have been established on behalf of Southern Connecticut State University. Each scholarship has specific criterion. The scholarship awards range from $500 to $5,000. Distribution of the award is made in two equal payments in the fall and spring semesters, unless otherwise noted. The award will be applied directly to the student's account upon verification that the student meets the criterion.
More than 300 scholarships are available each year for distribution in the next academic year. The online application will open January 1, 2017 enabling your student to apply for all 300+ scholarships in ONE application.
This year, we are enhancing our scholarship application process with new software that will be more efficient and informative to our students. Click here to view the scholarships offered and sign in to complete the online application.
All currently enrolled full- or part-time undergraduate and graduate students are eligible to apply provided they meet the minimum requirements noted below. Awards will be applied to the 2017-2018 academic year.
To be eligible, students must meet the following requirements:
Please note that students graduating in December 2016 or May 2017 are not eligible to apply.
If your student meets the criteria, please encourage them to apply. Scholarship awards can go a long way in helping students with academic expenses. In addition to the financial support, earning a scholarship is an impressive addition on a student’s resume when it is time to apply for internships, job or to pursue further education. Please talk with your student about this wonderful opportunity. Remember, there are more than 300 scholarships available for distribution to eligible students for the academic year 2017-2018, but students MUST complete the on line application before the deadline to be considered.
If there are any questions, have your student contact Heather Rowe in the SCSU Foundation office at 203-392-6634 or Roweh2@SouthernCT.Edu. Please advise students to include their SCSU ID number in all correspondence.
