Exciting news! Your student(s) may be eligible for merit-based scholarships from the University’s SCSU Foundation, Inc.!
Through the generosity of trustees, alumni, parents and friends of the University, a number of scholarships have been established on behalf of Southern Connecticut State University. Each scholarship has specific criteria. The scholarship awards range from $500 to $5,000. Distribution of the award is made in two equal payments in the fall and spring semesters (unless otherwise noted). The award will be applied directly to the student's account upon verification that the student meets the criteria.
More than 300 scholarships are available each year for distribution in the next academic year.

All currently enrolled full- or part-time undergraduate and graduate students are eligible to apply provided they meet the minimum requirements noted below. Awards will be applied to the 2019-2020 academic year.
To be eligible, students must be enrolled at Southern in the fall of 2018 semester and:
Please note that students graduating in December 2018 or May 2019 are not eligible to apply.
If your student meets the criteria, please encourage him/her to apply. Scholarship awards can go a long way in helping students with academic expenses. In addition to the financial support, earning a scholarship is an impressive addition on a student’s resume when it is time to apply for internships and jobs or to pursue further education. Please talk with your student about this wonderful opportunity. Remember, there are more than 300 scholarships available for distribution to eligible students for the academic year 2019-2020, but students MUST complete the online application before the deadline to be considered.
