University of Oklahoma Move-In 2019 — All you need to know!Sooner Parents
The mission of the SCSU Disability Resource Center (DRC) is to ensure educational equity for students with disabilities. This office provides assistance and information on issues of access to ensure the full participation of students with disabilities at Southern Connecticut State University. The University adheres to the letter as well as the spirit of key laws such as the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act.
SCSU continuously monitors and makes reasonable modifications in policies, practices, procedures, and facilities to accommodate students with disabilities who study, work or visit our campus. Our philosophy promotes self-awareness, self-determination, and self-advocacy skills to assist the students served by the DRC in order to maximize their potential and gain greater independence. The DRC serves all students who provide current documentation of a disability that substantially impacts them in an educational setting.
For information on how your student can access the services of the DRC and provide the required documentation, please visit our website at www.southernct.edu/student-life/support/drc/brochure.html
