University of Oklahoma Move-In 2019 — All you need to know!Sooner Parents
Enrollment in UA’s voluntary Student Injury and Sickness Insurance Plan with United Healthcare Student Resources (UHCSR) will be held from July 25, 2016, through August 24, 2016. Qualified UA students may elect coverage for the Fall 2016 semester (August 1, 2016, through December 31, 2016) or for the annual coverage period (August 1, 2016, through July 31, 2017) by enrolling and paying UHCSR the required premium on or before the deadline of August 24, 2016.
Domestic undergraduates and graduate students can go to www.uhcsr.com/ua for UA’s Student Injury and Sickness Insurance Plan enrollment information or call UHCSR Customer Service at 1-866-908-6342. Students may “Create an Account” online to print an ID card and view claims. Internationals and English Language Institute students should not enroll using UHCSR’s webpage. They must contact UA’s Capstone International Department.
The Affordable Care Act states that you must have health insurance that qualifies as minimum essential coverage or pay a fee called the “individual shared responsibility payment” on your federal tax return. If you are not covered by your parents’ health insurance plan or by another health insurance plan, you may want to consider UA’s voluntary student health plan with UHCSR to compare its coverage and costs.
For more information, visit The University of Alabama’s Student Health Center’s webpage before August 24, 2016, if you have any other questions about UA’s voluntary Student Injury and Sickness Insurance Plan with UHCSR.University of Alabama Page
