We are continuing to accept applications on a first come first served basis. We encourage your student to apply [; click on how to apply] as soon as possible. Your student may make their application from this location:; click on how to apply or your student may visit us at our office located in room 300 of the KUC. Spring Check-Out Procedures

Instructions on checking out properly at the end of the Spring 2017 semester will be emailed to current residents at their MTSU email addresses. This information will be posted in the residence halls and on-campus apartments. Your student will have a choice between Personalized Check-out or Express Check-out. Students who wish to do a Personalized Check-out must make an appointment with the building staff and keep that appointment at the prearranged time. Students participating in Express Check-out may go their Area Desk anytime to check-out after they have removed all personal belongings and cleaned the room. No appointment is necessary. Students participating in the Express Check-out will have their room checked after the student leaves. Students participating in express check-out accept all damage charges as assessed by the staff without an opportunity of appeal. Please note that students should check out on the day of their last final examination or within 24 hours, unless that student is scheduled to graduate on Saturday, May 6th. Graduating students are to check out no later than 6:00 p.m. on the day of graduation.

Summer 2017

Summer 2017 Residential Life Applications are currently being accepted. Summer housing is offered by sessions just as classes are offered May 15th to August 11th. Please note that the period between the end of the Spring semester and the beginning of the first Summer term is a noncontract period. Spring occupants of residence halls requesting early check-in for the first Summer term will have to pay rent for this period. Womack Lane Apartments will house all summer residents not qualifying for assignment to Scarlett Commons for the Summer 2017 sessions. For specifics regarding assignment restrictions please have your student contact the Housing office at

My question is silly, but my son and two of his friends are staying off of campus, next semester. So, my question is can they still get a choice of a meal plan and dining dollars.

It looks like students living off campus can get a choice of meal plans. There is more information on meal plans here:
