If your student did not reapply by the February 1st reapplication deadline for priority assignment, it is not too late to apply for Fall 2019/Spring 2020 on-campus housing! We are continuing to accept applications for self-assignment on a first come first served basis. We encourage your student to apply [www.mtsu.edu/housing; click on how to apply] as soon as possible. Please be reminded that we do not accept applications without the required $350 prepayment at the time of application. Access to the self-assignment process is given on a first come first served basis by date of a completed application process.
Check-out Instructions have been mailed to the permanent addresses of current residents and to the student’s MTSU email address. This information will also be posted in the residence halls and on-campus apartments. Be sure to adhere to MTSU check-out procedures to avoid charges and fines!
Your student will have the choice to do a Personalized Check-out or Express Check-out. Students who wish to do a Personalized Check-out must make an appointment with the building staff and keep that appointment at the prearranged time. Students participating in Express Check-out may go their Area Desk anytime to check-out after they have removed all personal belongings and cleaned the room. No appointment is necessary. Students participating in the Express Check-out will forgo the opportunity to conduct a walk through with a staff member and agree to accept all damage charges as assessed by the staff without an opportunity of appeal.
Please note that students should check out on the day of their last final examination or within 24 hours, unless that student is scheduled to graduate on Saturday, May 4th. Graduating students are to check out no later than 6:00 p.m. on the day of graduation.
Summer 2019 Residential Life Applications are available now! Summer housing is offered by session from May 13th to August 9th. Womack Lane Apartments will house all summer residents not qualifying for assignment to Scarlett Commons for the Summer 2019 sessions. For specifics regarding assignment restrictions please have your student contact the Housing office at email@example.com.
