Greg Wolcott, Interim Director of New Student and Family Programs
Dr. Gregory V. Wolcott is thrilled to to return to SJSU, where he began his professional career in higher education, as the Interim Director of New Student and Family Programs. Dr. Wolcott has worked professionally in higher education/student affairs for 15 years in the areas of student engagement and new student programs. He has also taught courses in counseling, leadership, and first year experience seminars. Dr. Wolcott previously worked at the University of San Francisco where he was responsible for leading orientation and transition initiatives, as well as activities that extend orientation into the fall semester.
Rigoberto Flores, Coordinator of New Student and Family Programs
Rigoberto Flores Jr. has worked professionally at San Jose State University (SJSU) since August 2015 serving as a program coordinator in the area of new student programs and a part time instructor teaching public speaking and co-teaching a student leadership course. Earning both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Communication Studies from SJSU, Mr. Flores is a proud alumnus committed to enhancing the Spartan experience for all incoming and current students.
Jill Goodwin, Administrative Support Coordinator of New Student and Family Programs
Jill Goodwin joins New Student and Family Programs after spending much of her career as a Girl Scouts Troop Leader, a technology teacher, and a stay at home mother. A native of the Bay Area and a San Jose State alumna, she is thrilled to be back at her alma mater assisting the Frosh Orientation program in its operations and administration.
Christy Carral, NODA Intern at New Student and Family Programs
Christy is a soon to be double alumna of Florida International University where she received her Bachelor’s degree in English and where she’ll be graduating from in May with her Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration. At FIU, she serves as the Graduate Assistant for First Year Programs. In her undergrad, Christy worked at FIU’s Orientation and Parent Programs Office for four years as an extended and standard orientation leader, as well as Recruitment Director and student coordinator. At SJSU’s New Student and Family Programs Office, she primarily assists with programming, student development and implementing Spanish orientation components.
Allie Warrick, NODA Intern at New Student and Family Programs
Allie is a graduate intern with SJSU New Student and Family Programs who is joining our team from the University of South Carolina. As a graduate student in Higher Education and Student Affairs at USC, she works in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions with recruitment and telecounseling. In her undergraduate career, she worked for two years in the Office of New Student Orientation at the University of South Carolina as an orientation leader, a team leader, and the media and publications intern. As part of her graduate program, she is serving this summer at San Jose State University as a Frosh Orientation Intern with programming, student development, and marketing efforts for the NSFP office.
