College is filled with defining moments in your student's life, and it is vital for them to make the most of them!

Studies have repeatedly shown that students who are more involved in their university during their undergrad schooling have a higher chance of both academic and professional success. On-campus involvement makes it easy to forge friendships, discover new things, develop oneself and create networks one couldn't find anywhere else. Here are a few ways your student can become more involved on-campus at Kennesaw State University.

Eating in the dining halls

What does eating in the dining halls have to do with making the most of college? KSU's all-you-care-to-eat dining halls are one of the highest ranked in the nation and serve a diverse range of culinary options that cater to a variety of health and dietary needs.

We also host a variety of events in the dining halls: Pi Day, Trivia nights, karaoke and more! These events are the perfect opportunity for your student to make new friends while using their Meal Plan. Whether your student lives on or off campus, everyone can take advantage of our Meal Plan options at

Going to events

Speaking of events, did you know that Campus Services hosts an assortment of events throughout the academic year? Our activities vary from the KSU Farmers Market (Sept. 5–Oct. 31) to Student Health Services giving free flu shots at the Campus Safety Days (Sept. 6 & Oct. 9) to Housing and Residence Life's annual Monster Ball (Oct. 31) and University Dining's Cram Jam (Dec. 3) plus more! Your student can easily keep up with our events by checking out our Events page or following us on social media (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram)!

Attending athletic games

Football season is right around the corner, and football games are the perfect way for your student to show their school spirit! Tailgating is a long-standing tradition at Southern universities, and KSU is no different. From barbecues to cornhole, there are a variety of ways for your student to enjoy their time leading up to the first quarter. The dining halls also host viewing parties during KSU Owl away games, so your student won't miss a play. Shop online through Sept. 10 and save on spirit wear and tailgating necessities for game day!
