University of Oklahoma Move-In 2019 — All you need to know!Sooner Parents
Recruitment season is taking place in the month of September for many sororities and fraternities. At MTSU, we have three councils that serve as the umbrella group over our individual chapters. Below is information on how your son or daughter can join.
At MTSU, we have two councils with sororities. The College Panhellenic Council has 6 chapters affiliated with the National Panhellenic Conference. To join one of these organizations, your student can register for Panhellenic Recruitment (formerly known as “rush”) at www.mtsupanhellenic.com/. Once students are registered, they will be assigned a recruitment group and a recruitment counselor who will guide them through the summer, first weeks of classes, and the recruitment process. Recruitment weekend is September 20–24. Additionally, our social media accounts (@mtsupanhellenic) provide a great deal of information.
We also have three sororities within the National Pan-Hellenic Council often referred to as the Divine 9. These groups participate in Membership Intake at different times during the academic year. If your student is interested in these chapters, they can attend the NPHC Informational on September 4th at 6:30 p.m. in the Student Union Ballroom. Additionally, your student can follow the NPHC social media accounts (@mtsu_nphc) for more information about the council. If you have any questions about the chapters we have on campus or requirements to join, please do not hesitate to reach out to FSL Director, Leslie Merritt, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
At MTSU, we have two councils with fraternities. The Interfraternity Council (IFC) is comprised of 12 chapters. Students can fill out this form to provide the organizations with information about them. Also, be sure to follow the council’s Twitter and Instagram pages for updates and information (@ifcmtsu). Our IFC will sponsor recruitment events during the first two weeks of school for students to meet the chapters they are interested in. For more information, visit http://www.mtsu.edu/fsl/ifc/recruit.php. Our chapters extend bids year round but students are strongly encouraged to take part in the recruitment events during the beginning of the fall term.
