The School of Music and Zuckerman Museum of Art present our fourth annual collaborative, roving recital featuring musical works performed in the museum selected by the performers as a brief musical portrait of themselves to correspond with artwork and concepts presented in the ZMA's fall exhibitions "Figure Forward" and "Class Pictures."

Guitarist Trey Wright and vocalist Laura Coyle lead this special performance featuring music written and inspired by Joni Mitchell, winner of 9 GRAMMY Awards and often considered "one of the greatest songwriters ever" (Rolling Stone). Set will include classic Joni Mitchell songs and Trey's original composition "Joni" from his 2015 release Songs From Oak Avenue.

GRAMMY-nominated violinist, conductor, and recording artist Andrés Cárdenes has garnered international acclaim for his versatile career and masterful performances. In addition to serving as Concertmaster for the Pittsburgh Symphony for over 20 years, Cárdenes has performed as soloist with over 100 orchestras across four continents.
