SCSU Residence Halls Closing May 17Southern Connecticut State University
"I don’t understand why I didn’t get the assignment I wanted, after all I am a current resident!"
Prime assignment locations are going, going, going quickly as self-assignment is currently underway for the Fall 2018–Spring 2019 academic year. In fact, a significant number of current residents who have submitted applications for housing for the Fall 2018–Spring 2019 academic year began self-assignment in October 2017 or are in the process of participating in self-assignment.
The priority assignment deadline is February 2nd — NOW is the time to apply! Students may apply electronically here (click on "How to Apply"), or students may submit their Fall 2018–Spring 2019 application personally by visiting our office located in room 300 of the KUC.
Current residents who apply after the February 2nd priority assignment deadline will participate in the self-assignment process beginning in March on a first-come first-served basis with new residents who have been applying since August 2017. Remember, completed applications are released for self-assignment on a first-come, first-served basis. So, it is to your advantage to make application by February 2nd!
Current residents who already took advantage of reapplying for on-campus housing for Fall 2018–Spring 2019 are reaping the benefits. These students have already enjoyed the opportunity to select their own housing assignments and roommates by participating in the Housing self-assignment process. Remember the point of taking advantage of the early re-application deadline is to reap the benefit to self-assign BEFORE other current residents or new first year students so that YOUR student has the best opportunity to get their preferred assignment location.
If you or your student have questions concerning on-campus housing, you may contact us at www.mtsu.edu/housing or call (615)898-2971, Monday–Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. We look forward to hearing from you.Middle Tennessee State University Page
