Fraternity & Sorority Life (FSL) kicked off the academic year with “Meet the Chapters” — an opportunity for new and continuing students to get to know the fraternity and sorority community at UC. If your student is interested in participating in the recruitment process, we encourage you to have a conversation with your student about the following aspects of the experience:
All fraternities and sororities have requirements regarding academic minimums, financial expenses, and time commitments. Talk to your student about how much of an investment they can make in each of these areas.
All fraternities and sororities were founded on a set of values. Help your student consider how these align with their own personal values.
All fraternities and sororities are governed by one of the four councils. Each has a different joining process. Help your student determine which path is best for them.
