This time of the year, families often wonder how they will know about their student's final grades. Final grades are posted in your student's Owl Express Account at the end of each semester. There are no paper copies of grades mailed; everything is digitally kept within this account. This account is also where their class schedule is kept, transcripts, etc.
We suggest having an open dialogue with your student about grades. Each family dynamic is different, so it's all according to how you all would like to communicate with one another. Some families require their students give them log-in information (username/passwords) so that they can access the account at any time. Other families simply organize a time for students to sit down with them and to open Owl Express and discuss openly.
Please take time to have an open, calm and honest conversation with your student about grades. If grades are a concern to either you or your student, it's important to sit together to strategically create a plan for a new and successful start to the next semester. We can certainly point you all in the right directions with resources if needed.
