As our students prepare to head home for the holidays, we wanted to provide our parents and families with some helpful information regarding long distance and out of state travel. From Tuscaloosa, there are several transit options available for your students.
The local Greyhound bus station is located approximately 5.5 miles south of campus on Highway 82 E. Directions to the bus station can be found here. Station information can be found here. The contact phone number for the local station is 205-758-6651.
The local Amtrak station is located approximately 2 miles from campus near the intersection of Greensboro Ave. and Hargrove Rd. For directions to the station, please follow this link. Reservations can be made here or by calling 1-800-872-6651 for travel to all Amtrak service locations.
If you will be traveling home by plane for the holidays, the University offers a shuttle service to the Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport for holiday travel. For reservation information and a schedule of shuttles leaving from campus click here. If you are traveling outside of the available shuttle dates, additional transportation options are also available.
