Are you wondering if your student has been in “trouble?” If you would like information about your student’s disciplinary record, or lack thereof, your student will have to come to our office (KUC 208) to fill out a specific FERPA (Family Education Rights and Privacy Act) release form.
FERPA is the federal law that guarantees that student records are confidential unless certain conditions exist. It is important to note that if your student has a PIE (Partners in Education) form on file, he or she will still need to fill out our FERPA release since disciplinary records are not included under PIE form permissions.
