Parents,
As I walk around campus, it’s easy to see that school spirit is at an all-time high during September as we gear up to cheer on our Crimson Tide football team. We are eager to share the infectious energy and fun with you and your student.
It’s incredibly important to us that parents have a chance to understand the experience we are offering their student at the Capstone. You have placed your trust in us to educate and enrich your child, and we do not take that responsibility lightly.
As your student continues to adjust to balancing college curriculum and extracurricular activities, here are a few questions you can ask to check on their progress:
Of course, our Student Affairs staff is also happy to help you and your child in any way that we can. Our mission to serve students and make their time at UA a rich and fulfilling experience that will boost them to greater heights after graduation remains our daily inspiration.
Roll Tide,
David L. Grady, Ph.D.
Vice President of Student Affairs
Thank you for all your do. My son will be a sophomore this year and it is so rewarding to see how he FLOURISHED the first year and how eager he was to return in august. there were endless ways to get involved and meet new people and he certainly took advantage of the "buffet table". from greek life, First year council, and the many places to play basketball he found his social footing. academically he found his professors to be approachable, helpful and encouraging.
we are looking forward to see what he both tackles and accomplishes this year. He will be a senator for the culverhouse College of Commerce and chairing a finance committee on SGA, I think. regardless, he is being exposed to so many opportunities and we very much appreciate everything the university offers.
