The most common sanction (consequence) given by the Office of Student Conduct is Disciplinary Probation.
Disciplinary probation is a designated period of time when a student agrees to abide by all university rules and policies with the understanding that any further violations while on probation will result in disciplinary suspension. It is an official “second chance” to prove that they have learned from their mistake and will change the misbehavior. Disciplinary sanctions are NOT listed on the academic transcript, thus the probation is not recorded there. All disciplinary sanctions become a part of the student’s educational records, specifically a disciplinary record.
