Research shows that family involvement is critical to student success. We hope that you know parents and families are valued as partners in education here at KSU. Students benefit when their family supports and participates in their university experience while also encouraging the student to take responsibility for that experience.

The Kennesaw State University Parent and Family Programs (PFP) Office serves as a resource for parents and families while they continue to support and encourage their student during the college transition. Our programs, resources and events strive to include parents and families into our university community along with encouraging student learning, development and success.

Three main objectives of PFP are to:

• Provide parents and families with timely information about Kennesaw State University services, programs and opportunities that enhance their child’s academic success and overall well-being.
• Promote meaningful engagement of parents and families in the life of campus by developing programs and events of interest to parents, especially those that assist with the initial transition to college.
• Affirm the important role parents and families play in the educational lives of their students.

Your involvement with the Parent and Family Association (PFA) begins now! We partner with campus resources and community organizations to bring you information, host numerous events including Parent and Family Weekend, and offer a variety of benefits to complement your membership.

The Parent and Family Programs Office is committed to providing support for you throughout the college experience. We are with you every step of the way.
